Stop off: Alberobello
The historical centre. The area known as "Aia Piccola", is made up of approximately 400 trulli, the majority of which are still used as residential dwellings.
The name ‘Aia’ stends from the open space which was once used to work the grain.

"Casa D'Amore". A monument declared part of the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. It was erected immediately after the decree which made Alberobello an independent town. It was the first monument to be erected with mortar and without the classical trullo shape which had been imposed by the Acquaviva counts of Conversano right up until the XVIII century.
The ‘Basilica Minore’, which is dedicated to the ‘Santi Medici’ Cosma and Damiano, the patron saints of the city are some of the most worshipped saints in the whole of Apulia. The basilica depicts a neo-classical style and was built by the architect Antonio Curri. The "Trullo Sovrano", the best example of a two story trullo, it has fireplaces, kitchen equipment and looms exemplifying the historic aspect of times gone by. It hosts a large range of cultural activities.
The old town centre, ‘Rione Monti’, which boasts more than 1000 trulli along seven roads, a real example of incomparable beauty.
Here, visitors will be able to see many workshop owners demonstrating their wares until late in the evening. The tour ends with a visit to the church of St. Antonio, which is set in the heart of the ‘Monti’ area. The church was built in 1926 and was commissioned by Antonio Lippolis.


Meeting point: at the “Trulliland” centre or at the adherent Tourist structure with an additional charge of euros 15,00 per person for inferior distance of 30kms.

Notes: the bookings will be effected in the adherent tourist structure and it will be confirmed to the attainment of the least number of participants: 5 people. In case of missed attainment, the relative quota of a 5 people group, can be applied also for adherent individual groups, from 1 to 4 people.
During the tour the guide will suggest some restaurants where eventually it will be possible to have lunch (not included in the price).
